Temperature is recorded at the discharge and feeding sides of the rotary dryer.
Tecsia Lubricants spearheaded a site inspection at a petrochemical plant in Malaysia. Issues were found at the rotary dryer application. During the inspection, the team of Certified Lubrication Specialists (CLS) and Sales realized that the rollers have obvious pitting and very heavy material removal.

It was observed through recorded temperatures at the discharge sides were higher than normal. With the obvious pitting, it indicates poor oil film strength from the current lubricant. The possibility of surface grinding effect from vibrations was not ruled out too.

Presently, the rollers at the rotary dryer are facing insufficient and inadequate lubrication. The current lubricant used offers little protection from extreme pressure.

Following the site visit, a recommendation report was generated for the client. Based on the findings, CLS advises the usage of a high load adhesive lubricant - TACBECON HEP 220. The lubricating oil has a four-ball weld of 400kg.

TACBECON HEP 220 is formulated to withstand high mechanical loads and vibrations, and reduce wear rate with its strong oil film polarity.

Tecsia Lubricants will continue to provide support on all technical issues.
